My g g grandmother married Joe Holmes in 1876 in Berwick upon Tweed. I think, if I am on the right track, that his father was Ralph Holmes (Fishmonger, game dealer, of Bridge Street). Her father was Thomas Lyon, a Draper and lived in Castlegate. by 1881 my g g grabdmother was recorded as being a widow but I have no details about the death of Joe Holmes. My g g grandmother remarried a Henry McCroben in 1882. He is recorded as a Commercial Traveller and I believe he was from Bradford. Any information/history/old pictures, about any of the above named, the businesses, in fact anything at all would be great. Thank you in anticipation.
