Thank you so much. I had long since given up hope of hearing from anyone searching for the McCroben family.
I believe William Henry would be my 3 x g grandfather too.
His son, Henry married my gg grandmother. In 1893 my gg grandmother was recorded as a widow but I'm not so sure as I have been unable to find a record of a death anywhere. My g grandmother's marriage certificate in 1900 doesn't indicate he was deceased either.
Unfortunately, I am signed in as a guest now as my membership wasn't renewed due to being unable to spare the time on the research (not getting my money's worth). However, if you have any information you could share with me you could email to me at lindamu60@aol.com I would be willing to share any information I have but suspect you have been far more fortunate in your quest than I.
