I am also researching the gypsy camps that were outside of Liverpool, across the Mersey River in the 1930's and 1940's. I believe it was near Morton Wirral.

When my Gargan grandparents returned to England in 1926 from the U.S. they had with them four of my mother's siblings, Anne, Marion, Esther, and Alfred. My mother and two of her sisters were adopted here in the states before my grandparents left for England.

My Aunt Annie has told me that they lived in a gypsy camp when they first arrived and for sometime before moving to an house in Morton Wirral. My Aunt Annie who is 91 still lives in Morton Wirral.

Thank you for any information regarding the gypsy camps.
Dorothea
