I am undertaking some FH research for a friend. The family we are researching is VISCARDINI; Originally from the Mondello, Como, Lombardy region of Italy. There were two young men [brothers] named Baldasarre Viscardini bn. 1831 Italy and Giuseppe Viscardini, together with their father Giocomo Viscardini [aka Joseph] working in the carving, gilding, sculpting, and cabinet making field in the East End of London at least from 1841 onwards. Later they were living./working in Gough Street, and then Grays Inn Road London. The brothers were renowned for their intricate carving. We have a fairly full picture of the people in their family history, however we are looking to discover more about their work and workplaces, as well as trying to locate some of thier pieces. We believe they may have exhibited at the CRYSTAL PALACE EXHIBITION IN 1852. Any information would be much appreciated.
