Hi thank you. That would fit with his father being a CPO in the RN. Still don't understand why he would change his surname to Scott though? In Mar 1939 my late grandmother married a Clifton Peter Scott-Riddle who turned out to be a bigamist. This is my interest in the names Scott/Riddle. Bit of a long shot but nothing else has revealed anything so far.
