Tania, thank you so much for that information. That definitely fits in and when i mentioned the surname of Sims to my mum she said it did ring a bell. We had never heard of a Douglas so not sure if that is the right one, plus if she had a child in Jun 1928 there is a slim chance that she had another in March 1929 - the dates are a little close together.

I just need to find out what the mother first name was and try and track down when she married Arthur.
