Sue, I am also interested in the same Onslow family that you are researching. I am descended from James Onslow (b 1836 Stepney), William Onslow (b 1812 Wapping) and William Onslow (b 1787 Mitcham) and ALL THREE were hairdressers!

I am looking for any information about the elder William's father, John Onslow of Mitcham, who married Hannah Pale and became a victualler (as mentioned in his will in 1794). Can anybody help?
