I am currently tracing my family tree on my mothers side.
Its my great grandmother that seems to be a problem.
This is the details that I know to be true:-
Alice Latchford married Alfred Edward Ives on 3rd Aug 1913.
I know that Alice's birthday was 10th Dec and on her death cert. is reads that she was born 10 Dec 1888.
On her marriage cert. it reads that her father was Thomas Latchford (deceased)
But on her death cert it reads Maiden name Beasley
Now the strange thing is that I have the original Death Cert. and Beasley has been written in a different pen and I think in a different handwritting.
I cannot find a birth for an Alice Latchford but I can find an Alice Beasley in Jan-Mar 1889 which fits and on the census's there is a Thomas Joseph Beasley with a daughter Alice which fits.
Why the 2 names I have run out of ideas?????????
