I live in Vancouver, Canada and I'm looking for any record of a great uncle Harold THOMPSON, Tram Driver, born 1894 in WALTHAMSTOW at 279 Chingford Road. His parents were John Charles (Tramway Motorman)& Annie (maiden name unknown) THOMPSON. He had a sister Nellie, born c.1893, brother Arthur John born c.1896 & brother Herbert William born c.1901 - all born at 279 Chingford Road, Walthamstow, West Ham Essex. In 1922 Harold married Florence Louisa WALDIE of 86 Brettenham Road and they moved to 30 Greenleaf Road in Walthamstow. Harold disappeared c. 1929 and a connection to the Thompson family was lost. We can't find a death record for Harold, his parents or siblings. What happened to Harold and his family? Can any one help? Does anyone remember any of the Thompsons who were still living at Chingford Road when WWII started? Any information sincerely appreciated.
