I wanted to thank you so very much for all your kind help in researching my grandmother, Eileen Martin. Imagine our surprise when we received my father’s long form birth certificate and discovered that, in fact, my grandmother was not from northern Ontario as we always believed but rather from Liverpool, England.

Your help and kindness has already illuminated our family history and radically changed how we understand our family’s past. Mysteries upon mysteries are now piling up and it is exciting to discover something so novel and unknown. We are going to now apply to the GRO for her birth certificate and continue our digging into the family.
