B: 1828/29 in Manchester, Lancashire, England.
D: March 23, 1887 in San Francisco, California, USA.

Mother: Martha (Maiden name unknown)
Father: Unknown (1841 census doesn't show him, and 1861 shows Martha as a widow)
Siblings: Mary Gray (1832/33) and Margaret Gray (1835/1836).
In the 1841 census there was a Margaret Gray, age 70 and from Ireland (paternal grandmother maybe?), but she doesn't show up in the 1851 census so I'm assuming she died. I checked Death records and found about 13 different Margaret Grays having died in the 10 years between the '41 and '51 census.

So my question....my plead if you will is...does anyone have any suggestions for paths I can take? I know nothing about the father, nothing about MKG's mother's surname. I only know someone who could be his paternal grandmother. I'm at a loss and I've been particularly keen on tracing this line back.

Or does anyone have any info on any of them? (I've attached a snapshot of his 'profile', if you will).

I would greatly appreciate any direction or such on this. Thanks in advance. ~Luke
