I seem to have come to a halt with my research, I have the marriage certificate of James Hamilton to Mary Ann Flannigan, St Mary's Catholic Chapel, Shaw Street, Oldham - 1st Dec 1868 with details of fathers name & occupation but am having a hard time tracing them before that date, have tried james & father, mary & father etc,but just don't know where else I could look. Have tried census, index's, christenings, catholic baptisms online

Any ideas??
