interested in your request for info on Hamer - Salford. I have in my family tree Hamers marrying Bolans. Also Hamer marrying Sheridan. My Hamers came from the Adelphi and Greengate area of salford c. 1870. Do you think it could be same family?
I have a william Hamer with a daughter susannah Hamer who was born 1854 and lived in the Adelphi area behind Salford cathedral, they were catholic if it helps.
