Hi, I'm an American looking to find some information on my maiden name: Pilkenton. I know that the name stems from a town in Lancashire called Pilkington, but know no details of anything. I'd like to pay this place a visit sometime in the near future and would love to know if there are still Pilkingtons or Pilkentons in the area with whom I could meet, or at least get a sense of where my ancestors come from.
