I am seeking information on the Davies family prior to John Davies' death at sea in 1883 and Ann Jane's subsequent immigration to Philadelphia with several of the children.

I haven't been able to find any family history prior to these two.

What I do know is that John Davies and Ann Jane Mahoney married in 1863 in Lancaster and had 8 children. Shortly after John was lost at sea off the Rotterdam coat in 1883, Ann and sons Robert Tosh (b. 1873) and John P (1875) and daughter Annie Jane (b. 1876) immigrated to Philadelphia. Others may have immigrated as well, but I don't have record of any other children immigrating.

I have the Davies family bible that covers John and Ann Jane and their children which has been the only clue I have been able to find regarding the family.
