I am trying to locate any relatives I may have in Lancashire.
My maternal grandparents were Ellen Ratcliffe & ? Bainbridge - he died around 1924. She died around 1963.
My paternal grandparents were John Pomfret [born early 1800's & died around 1934 in Michigan - Buried in Troy]and Mary Crossley who died around 1948 or 9 in Bury, Lancs.

John& Mary were divorced [by him in Michigan] in 1917. He then married Jennie ?....

I am new to this & have become discouraged because I seem unableto turn up any records, even here in the States.
