John WATERS is listed as a "car owner" on the 1881 census. Does anyone know if records exist for the livery stable or carriage businesses in Liverpool in the second half of the 1800s? I haven't been able to find him in the street directories of that time. People working for him may have been named STEVENSON or PERRY. Thanks for any help you can give!
