I am trying to sort out the families of two William DITTONs, BOTH born in Woodchurch in approx 1827 to 1830, so that I can add my Alfred Ditton , born approx 1859 Woodchurch and the son of a William Ditton to the correct family.
The first William is the son of Robert and Catherine DITTON, date of marriage not known, other siblings are Robert, Richard, Thomas, Daniel and others.
The second William Ditton is the son of William and Elizabeth DITTON (nee BEECHING) married in 1822, with siblings of John, Robert, Isaac and James.
I have found a marriage for one of the William Ditton(Junior) to Catherine Hawkett at Woodchurch in 1852, but do not know where or when the other William married.
On "my" Alfred Ditton's Birth Cert. his parents were William and Catherine formerly Allcock.
Would appreciate any help with this, if anyone else has come across these mixed up Williams !!
