Marilyn - I know relaise that Samuel Reeves can't be John R b1794 father, but his brother. I think that John R b.1794 Woodchurch nr. Tenterden spouse Mary Maynard is the same as John R c.30/3/1794 presb. Tenterden, parents William & Martha R (it is common that the same names pass down through the family), in which case John R b.1794 had a sister Martha c.1791 & brothers Stephen (1798), Samuel (1789), George (1796). Said parents William Reeves & Martha Reeves are probably those married 27/10/1786 Rolvenden (her maiden name Rupel). The latter said William is probably the son c.3/2/1767 of (again) a William & Martha Reeves whose other children were Thomas (1772), Samuel (1769), John (1760?) all Sandhurst by Cranbrook. Can you confirm or refute this with what you have worked deduced. Note I was wrong about Samuel Reeves & Elizabeth Lambert being parents of John Reeves (m.Mary Maynard), Samuel was uncle & had son called John Reeves (1796) - John's cousin (all very confusing, so many Reeves with the same name, a family gathering must have been amusing).
