It's entirely possible for a child's birth to be registered with one Christian name and the child later baptised with another. However, you are quite correct not to assume that Isabella and Mary Jane are the same person. You therefore need: (1) the birth certificate for Mary Jane and (2) the original baptism register entry for Isabella. With a following wind, the details shown on these will be enough to reassure you.
