I have some information on this branch of my family - thanks to local posters on Rootsweb.
I am trying to establish the origin of the surname MEDGETT and wonder if anybody has carried this back beyond the 18th Century.
Family myth is that it might be linked to the immigration of weavers to Kent from the Eurocontinent but so far I have only found the huegenot site - where the name does not appear.
