Looking for anyone who could help me in locating the maiden name of my great-grandfather's Mother...he was born 31 July 1844 in Havant, Hampshire England at Leigh Park the country home of Sir George Thomas Staunton-his Father was the head gardener there. I have a birth certificate for his brother Alexander born 28 October 1846 in the same place. Their Mother's name is Helen (their Father's is Alexander)but I can't make out her maiden name on the birth certificate. I have sent a couple of emails to the GRO but no response. I can provide the information I used to request the birth certificate if this would help...
