Looking for Moses Sandys (may also be written as Saunders, Sanders, or some other variation) and his wife, Mary, (born 1751 somewhere in England),who went from England to Newfoundland in the 1770's. There is a repeating name pattern for the men of this family, the father is called Moses, the son, Samuel, the grandson Moses, and so on. I have not seen this pattern Sandyamong other families with this surname. in fact, I have not seen the name Moses or Samuel in other Sandys families.

The difficulty has been to find a Moses in Hampshire married to anyone named Mary at this time. Also, I have not been able to find any mention of anyone going to Newfoundland with those names.
