I saw your various messages about the research into your family history, absolutely fascinating!

I don't suppose there is any connection, since there seem to have been many Dents in the locality, but thought I'd tell you that my great-aunt, Dorothy (Dot) Rowland, whose mother, Margaret, was the head mistress of St. Michael's School, Stoke Gifford between 1895-1922, married a Lionel Dent. As far as I know, Lionel Dent was born in Stoke Gifford in 1892 and he and Dot lived there for many years. I know very little else about them, apart from them having at least one child, Trixie.
