Thanks for contacting me. I don't know if you have read it but there is a book online at http://www.openlibrary.org called "early genealogies of the cole families in america" that provides insight in to the Cole/Doughty connection. Although I have not yet proved this is my line, it at least seems possible. Before I go back to England for my research I must tie up a lot of loose ends in the sixty five year period prior to 1698.
