Where is Wybastan, England?

Hi All, I have a letter dated 28 July 1863 from Sophia Lean (nee Wylde) (1778-1865) to Thomas Davey (1834-1881). Sophia is my G4 Grandmother and Thomas is my G2 Grandfather. The letter has the address 64 Francis Road, Wybastan as where Sophia was living in 1863. I am trying to find the address as I am visiting the UK in a few weeks. Can anyone help?

There is a Wybastan in Bedfordshire, a few miles to the north east of the town of Bedford. I am not familiar with the area, you may require some local help - I cannot find a modern day Francis Drive on the map, (http://www.bing.com/mapst of Bedford), although there is a Francis Drive in Hinxworth, a few miles south east of Bedford.

Wyboston near Bedford would not have had a Francis Road, there is just a main street and two lanes which are named after the villages that they lead to. This is typical.
There are a few possibilities if you have made a misinterpretation of the handwriting, but none turn up on a modern search of Francis Road.
Are ther no further clues in the address at all? No places mentioned in the letter?

GENUKI's Gazetteer (http://www.genuki.org.uk/cgi-bin/gaz) can be very helpful if you can be certain of the first few or last few letters in the name of the location. Enter them into the Gazetteer and select either Word Beginning or Word Ending and click on New Search. You'll then be presented with a list of possibilities.

The 1861 census has an unmarried Sophia Lean, aged 18, living at 64 Francis Street, Edgbaston, Birmingham. Not the same one you're looking for obviously, but the coincidence is strange, and Edgbaston could just about look like Wybastan, depending on the handwriting. I don't know if this helps or not! :-)

Christine has it right - just should have turned the page to see the mother Sophia. Grandaughter of the Sophia she mentioned.
See attached.

Thank you all for the prompt replies. The advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks for the scans from the census, I will add them to the family history. I have attached the scan of the address and it doesn't really look like Edgbaston to me, but it fits will what we know about the Lean family. Going by google street view, 64 Francis Road is no longer there, its a shopping centre now. I might call past when I am over there just to say I've been there. Thank you again, Dean.

Now that I look at the scan to make sure it attached to my post, it does really look like Edgbaston.
