No you can't order from this site.

If you want to order from the General Registry Office [GRO] see http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ ,you’ll need the B,M or D event reference details: name, year, qtr, registration district volume and page number – any less than that the cost increases.

You can obtain those details from FreeDMD at http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/ , Ancestry [this site] or the pay per view site Findmypast.com. Certificates from the GRO are copies from duplicate registers sent to the GRO quarterly from the Local Registry Offices around England & Wales where the event took place.

If you want a copy from the original registers [but can sometimes end up with “new” transcribed copy rather photocopy] you’ll need to contact the Local Registry Office where the event was 1st registered and they use a different index reference. That information is available at some local BMD web site [CheshireBMD, Lancashire BMD etc.] and clicking on the reference number of the entry usually takes you to a pre-printed form and address of Local Office. Any Local BMD indexes online can be accessed via UKBMD at http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/
