Frankie - correcting the census index -
When you do a search you get a list of possibles. From there you could go straight to the image. Don't do that. Click on the "view record" on the left.
When that page appears you can see that on the left is a column of options (headed Page Tools) one of which is a picture of a pencil with "Comments and Corrections". Click on that and follow the instructions. Ideally you should do it for each family member as you never know which family member some stranger (one of your cousins maybe) will be searching for.
It's worth knowing that as well as searching for a given name with no surname you can also do a search with no name at all - just the place of birth and/or where they were living. Only useful of course for small places.
From the time difference I guess you are in Oz.
