I am looking for information on the Firs Maternity Home which used to be located in Trinity Road, Bournemouth. I am doing this to help a relative trace his real family. As far as I know the Firs was there for a long time (my MIL was born there in the late 40's and the relative I am helping was born there in 1972. I have been given the impression that the Hospital eventually (by 1972) became a private fee paying hospital. Can anyone shed any light on this - or indeed give me any information about the home at all. Many thanks!
