I wouldn't think so, The Firs Maternity Home was in Trinity Rd (nr the Lansdowne, Bournemouth) which is about 3 miles from Beaulieu Road at Alum Chine.

Many places / houses have Firs in their names as Bournemouth is full of Pine Trees (It was famous in Edwardian times because people promenaded along the Pine Walks in what are now known as the Lower Pleasure Gardens.
The Edwardians thought that the pine smell was good for the lungs and planted them everywhere throughout the borough!
