I would like to find the marriage record for a Mr. Callender and Martha ? and a death record for Mr. Callender. She is listed as Martha Callender when she married John Callway of Lyme Regis, Dorset, at Dartmouth, St Saviour, in November 1784 (source:LDS). A member of the Callaway Society found the following in transcribed records at a library in Newfoundland: John Callway, shipwright of Lyme Regis married Martha Callender, widow in November, 1784 at St. Saviour's parish, Dartmouth, Devon. What was her maiden name?

There is recorded the birth of two sons at Stoke Damerel and one at Dartmouth to James and Martha Callender. The dates for the births (1778, 1782, 1783) are several years prior to the 1784 marriage so they may have been born to the same Martha. Was Martha's first husband James?
