Hi - Unfortunately, early emigration records are sparse (some, if taken, thought to have been left to rot on the dockside). Men could have left from almost any Devon port, inc the Bideford route. West countrymen also fished in Newfoundland and it is thought some stayed on and settled in Canada. There are several websites on the subject, hope these few are of some help..
