Elisha and Family lived for a short time in Chili mining and arrived in US approx 1860. Living for a short time in Nevada then to Butte, Mt. also mining.
Samuel married Nettie Waugh b. abt Sep 1865 Mooers Forks, N.Y., d. 29 Apr 1910 Butte, Mt. buried Mooers Forks, N. Y. They had 1 son Eugene.
Samuel was Clerk of the District court in Butte from 1900 to 1904. He was also a news paper editor and part owner of Oats & Roberts a printing and publishing house in Butte.
He lived between Butte and New York for many years. Samuel married May Simonet b. 1869 d. Oct 1911 N. Y. I have alot of info. on Elisha & Samuel's life inn Butte.

Moses is my main interest right now. I have information he was a news paper editor in London around the time of his fathers death in 1905. I would love to know more information on his life. Did he marry? Have children? Did he ever come to America? When and where did he die?

I have also ran across the name James Roberts living with Elisha and Samuel in Butte off and on in the mid 1890's. There is also a mention of James Roberts as a relative in my gr-grandfathers (William Paull-son of Elizabeth Hancock, Janes sister) obituary 1918. I am unable to figure out the connection.
I am aware Elisha had a brother James but he would be no connection to my gr-grandfather. IF this James is the son of Elisha & Jane there is a connection.

Anyone know of this Roberts family?
