I think this is the correct one:
St Peters, Church St, Liverpool, C of E, 23 Dec 1818, marriage after banns:
John Smith of Liverpool, cabinet maker, & Margaret Davies of Liverpool, spinster.
Witnesses: James Taylor [he is a regular witnesses, probably a church official] & Robert Johnson.
Margaret signed the register "by mark", ie was illiterate.
"Of Liverpool" means where they were resident at the time of marriage, not where they were born.
Baptism at St Peter, Liverpool, 6 March 1820, Alfred Smith. son of John & Margaret Smith of Shaw's Alley, father was a cabinet maker.
