In the Chester, Cheshire and North Wales Advertiser, 24 July 1829:
"14th inst. at Bebbington Church, Thomas, eldest son of J. Allen Esq. of Macclesfield to Ann, eldest daughter of Mr Robert Clowes Potts. Pasture House, New Ferry, in this county."
