Surnames: OLDFIELD, ALLEN,CHALLERTON, FINNEY
This could be Thomas's burial, age 0, residence Macclesfield, buried 2 Mar 1831 at Christ Church, Macclesfield.
1841 Catherine St, Macclesfield
William CHALLERTON, 40, Out pensioner
Hannah ", 30, bonnet and dress maker
Elizabeth ", 3 mths
William ", 80
James ALLEN, 9
Louisa OLDFIELD, 5
David ", 3
Sarah FINNEY, 50, F. Servant
Mary ", 25, Silk piecer
All except William 80 were born in Cheshire.
A mark on the census indicates that the first 4 were a family group, the other 5 were separate from them. The 3 children were probably fostered out to this family. An out pensioner was someone receiving relief from the parish and living in their own home, not the wotkhouse. If so, then there may be records at Cheshire Archives.
