I think it is likely to be the correct marriage. In the 1841 census at Hursdfield, Prestbury, Cheshire:

John SUTTON is probably the son of Mary RIDGWAY who married David SUTTON 4 Feb 1836 at Prestbury. She was born 6 May, bap. 31 May 1812, daughter of George RIDGWAY of Macclesfield (no mother named in register, but could be Prudence). Mary SUTTON was buried 4 May 1840 age 28 at Christ Church, Macclesfield, residence Hurdsfield, probably after childbirth. A David SUTTON age 9 weeks, residence Hurdsfield was buried just 9 days after her.

The baptisms for children to George RIDGWAY and Prudence fit with the marriage in 1809, from James in 1811 up to Charlotte in 1828 (I can find 12, there may be one I have missed in late 1809/early 1810). George's occupation changes from Silk Throwster to Grocer, to shopkeeper, to farmer. The only query is that George is described as a Reedmaker on the marriage bond.
