I am researching my connections to a "Young" family of Caithness, Scotland.

After having researched my direct lineage which I can trace back to Donald Young and Janet Miller, married in July 1807 in the parish of Latheron, Caithness, I am trying to find out what happened to the wider family.

Barbara MacDonald Young was born in 1882 in Sibster, Halkirk, but at some point she moved to the Liverpool area of England. Barbara was a great-grand-daughter of Donald Young and Janet Miller, and was a second cousin of my great-grandmother Helen Grant (1873-1920). A marriage notice was printed in a Wick (Caithness, Scotland) newspaper reporting Barbara had married in Birkenhead on 20 March 1911 to Thomas Weir. A birth notice was printed the following year, also for Birkenhead.

If anyone is researching this family I would welcome any contact, and am more than willing to share the information that I have.
