Hello, I am new to the ancestry research activity and have been trying to gain more information about my maternal grandparents. My mothers father was Francis Joseph Kavanagh and because of the minimal information I have at hand, he is something of a "mystery figure" I know that he worked as a shipwright/engineer and possibly went away to sea. His brother Frederick Aloysius Kavanagh settled in Egremont Wallasey but again, I have little information. If anyone is conducting research into the Merseyside Kavanagh tree and can help I would be most grateful.
