Both sides of my family have connections with this area.
Greenwood (John and Mary) and their 4 children were in the 1841 Census at Tydd St. Giles but not in the 1851 Census. All 3 sons were mariners and atleast 2 of them emmigrated to Australia about 1860.

King Frederick b c1849 married Sarah Thompson b c1850 in October 1875. There children were William b 1876, Hannah, Harriett, Florence, Clara, George and Henry.

Cobb John Cobb married Emma Spring. Children Sarah b 1876 and Emma 1880.

King William married Emma Cobb in 1899. They had 6 children before emmigrating to Australia in about 1910,

I would love to hear from anyone researching these families

Regards

Hi

I think you were the very helpful researcher who located the Greenwoods in Tydd St. Giles for me. The previous reference was
HO197/78/15 9A (1841).

As for the King, Cobb and Spring lines, I have no census data.
