Appleford is a tiny village about a mile from Sutton Courtney, and historically part of the same parish. A very beautiful part of the world - I drove through the area last week.

There is an extensive set of transcripts of the records for Appleford ( and Sutton Wick) going back to the 1560s (and including some wills I believe) at the Society of Genealogists library in London, with the original registers being at Berkshire Record office.
