I'm looking for the parents of Richard (John?) Argyle/Argyll. He married Ann (Hannah) Barnett 8 Oct 1775 in Abingdon. Richard is recorded as born in Sutton/Sutton Wick and Ann in Abingdon 1749/50.
All else I have is that a John Argyle married Ann Hoar 1 Jun 1760 Sutton Courtenay and might have died 1811 in Sutton Courtenay. They had at least 3 children in S. Courtenay but I can't fit Richard in.
Before that, two names lie scattered: Joseph Argyle a labourer who died in Sutton Courtenay 1789 and Richard Argel who married Jane Cardenel in Remenham in 1743. Numerous avenues have turned up nothing.
