Hi, Mandy!
I never got notification of your reply; sorry! Thanks very much.
Cranley isn't near to where my Thomas was supposed to be from, but the names in the family definitely suit my line.
Given his age at death (July 1830), Thomas LUFF was born 1769/70. A late baptism is possible, I suppose, or the IGI informant had incorrect information.
Thomas married Mary SIMKINS in St Martin in the Field in 1795, but, again, an informant might have incorrect information.
Given his will, I believe the couple's first two children were John and Mary (not sure of the order) and born somewhere other than the later children (who, starting with my g-g-grandfather Robert, were all born in Sunninghill, Berks).
I will definitely pursue your information and, again, I'm sorry for the delay in replying.
