I am researching the families of George and Emma Jackson from Oldbury and Joseph and Maria Parkes from Sedgley.

The children of George and Emma Jackson were Matilda, Sarah, Joseph, David (my G-Grandfather), George, Elizabeth, James, Mary Ann, Harry and Ellen, who were born between 1861 and 1886. Harry Jackson emigrated with his family in 1914 to the United States and settled in the New York area.

The children of Joseph and Maria Parkes were Sophia, William, Betsey Ann (my G-Grandmother), Eliza Harriett, Joseph, Ezekiel, Abraham, Leah and Thomas, who were born between 1866 and 1885.

Great to hear from you!!!
My ancestor Ellen Whale married Isaiah Jackson in Tipton in 1845. Her parents were William Whale and Elizabeth Stringer. I have much more on their ancestors and their descendants.
Their name Whale often appeared as Wheale
.......................................................
I have John Woodall and Marey? marrying 1661. Among their off spring was a son John Jr who marries Mary Hollis. Then son Joseph married Mary Hadley 1716 Dudley. I have extensive data on their line down to a marriage of their descendant Isaiah Jackson as above
............................................................
My Whitehouses are more recent with Joseph Whitehouse marrying Bertha Owen ..1906.....my grandmother's( Mary Owen) sister
I also have another situation where a Whitehouse married an Allen girl in the 1950's.Her grandmother mother was also a Dudley Owen.
I can unravel the Whitehouses!
..........................................................
I have Jackson from Dudley on BOTH sides of my Dudley ancestry
............................................................The surname Stringer also appears frequently
Perhaps we have a link with each other. Email me at srjacx@yahoo.ca and I will hopefully find common ancestors

Hi

My grandfather was Joseph Jackson born 18/02/1893 in Park Lane, Oldbury, Worcestershire (then) England. He survived the Somme and Ypres, captured, escaped to Switzerland and married my grandmother Marthe Buser in 2 ceremonies in Lausanne and Bern on the 1st/3rd August 1918. Lucky me. His father was Joseph Jackson also and his mother Eliza Jane Elizabeth Knowles.Believe he had 2 sisters Emily and Matilda and a brother Henry. Any links?

Best wishes

Hi
I cannot find a link although I do have several Joseph Jacksons among my ancestors
Do you know who were the parents of Joseph Jackson a/o Eliza Knowles?
I strongly suspect we have a common black country ancestor but so far too elusive
