My great-grandfather, JAMES MOORE, is listed on both the 1871 and 1881 Census Indexes. His wife, the former, FANNY PAYNE, was born in Newport Pagnell. Her parents were:
JOHN PAYNE and ANN TERRY, both of whom appear to have lived in the Chesham area of Buckinghamshire. The Moores had several children: Caroline, Ann, Matilda, John P, James A, and Harriett.
