At the time of the 1841 Census my g grandfather William George Mauger aged 2 lived at St Lawrence Jersey with his parents Mary and Edward Mauger and six other siblings.

Sometime between the 1851 and 1861 Census he emigrated to Australia. Possibly his elder brother Charles Mauger arrived in Melbourne Australia in September 1860.

I have been unable to find William Mauger on any Australian passenger lists, are there any shipping lists available from Jersey?

I am also interested in obtaining birth and baptism certificates, but am unaware where these records would be held.
