Can anyone out there with access to a Directory verify the address of Winter O'Brien in about 1939? A William O'Brien, born in Jersey c. 1865, gave "W. O'Brien of Green Street, Jersey, C.I." as his brother on a U.S. Immigration record in 1939. Was that person Winter O'Brien, son of Bridget, who married Louisa Jane Le Breton? If Winter was living on Green Street in that time period it proves the identity of the William I am researching. He may have joined the British Army at a very young age and spent much of his life in India but settled in Croydon, Surrey later. He married Amelia Smith in Lancashire in 1894.
