The tree I have doesn't supply much information except names. The Crockett's were in Donegal, Lifford area and I would imagine the McCay's were also from there or near by.

Hello, if this is accurate, George and Catherine would have been my 5th great-grandparents. My 4th great-grandfather was William Crockett who emigrated to the US in 1806 and married Mary Rosebury in Baltimore and lived in Fredericksburg, MD. I always thought James Crockett and Elizabeth Gambraith, however, according to this it was George and Catherine Gamble... unless there was another William with a brother named Samuel and the both emigrated to the US. Samuel is also prominent in my family history. Has anyone come up with any more recent information on George and Catherine? I am assuming these Crocketts/Gambles were Ulsters since one of the grave at Clonliegh has an Ulster mention and marking. I will going to both Ireland and Scotland in the fall and I hope to get more information on George Crockett and find the Scotland connection.

Sorry, my 4th great-grandfather William married Margaret B. Stephenson, their son James Crockett married Mary Rosebury.
