I am just starting to research my great grandfather from Jersey Channel Islands. Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated. His name was John Phillip and I think his father owned a hotel also. I am just awaiting confirmation as I have tracked down a family member in New Zealand who has an old letter. Thanks
Karen

Hi Lorraine

I will look at the family tree and get back to you, my email is tlegeyt@paradise.net.nz

Please send email as do not want to put family tree on net as Guy who lives in Jersey gave me all the info and made me promise not to put it on the net as he is writing a book on the Le Geyt family.

Cheers

Terry

Hi Sean,

Jersey Archives holds the following which you can order copies of, if you wish:

D/S Immigration and Nationality Department D/S/A/4/B4671 Blue Registration Form of Ivy Florence Le Geyt, née Clunn, of 4, Columbus Street, St Helier, born 06/08/1919, and Jean Ivy Le Geyt, June Joyce Le Geyt, Graeme Kenneth Le Geyt, Sherlock Ivor Le Geyt, and Pearl Joan Le Geyt, registered as children on the back of the blue form 14/01/1941 - 14/01/1941

It looks like there may have been extended family living at the address at that time.

Hope this helps?
