Hi Andrew. It certainly is a long time since 1985. I am now living in Ireland and have 6 grandchildren! As I said in my other message to you all of my information is on Ancestry.co.uk There are some rare photos including my grandfather Hay and a great photo of the whole family at a wedding. If you send me an email address I will send you an invitation to join the site and access all the information.
Good to hear from you and I am sure that you have recent information that I do not have. Best wishes, John

Joseph HUTCHINGS was a passenger on the Sparrow Hawk leaving England December 1874 and went to the Falkland Islands to work as a labourer for Holmestead and Blake. As I said previously I do not have any information regarding departure dates

Hello,

Many thanks for your speedy reply. From my knowledge Josheph Hutchings and his family worked for the Blakes of Somerset living in Bridge nr South Petherton. I know from Joseph's Marriagge certificate to Emma Belcher that there is also a George Hutchings listed as a witness. Would your records show if George also travelled to the islands at the same time as Joseph?.
I am also intrigued as to your information source. Is this available on-line?.

With many thanks, Andrew
